The Open Day was to encourage new bowlers to have a taster of playing bowls and to raise some funds for our local  Burnham Area Rescue Boat,      BARB.       https://barb.org.uk         This event was a great success, as we had plenty of visitors enjoying the friendly atmosphere, playing bowls, chatting to members, enjoying the BBQ, a nice cool drink, tombola, guess the weight of the cake, how many sweets in the jar and lots lots more. It was exciting  watching a couple of friendly matches between our Members and BARB, of course the result was a competitive draw! It was great to see so many different ages all having fun.

We also raised a considerable sum of money for BARB with the final figure to be announced as soon as it is confirmed.

Thank you to all those who helped to make it a wonderful day, with the sun shinning all day to make things perfect.

          

      

 

If you are thinking about trying bowls or joining a friendly club, then Burnham on Sea Bowls Club is the one for you.

We have a wonderful green and clubhouse, very close to the town centre.

Bowls is a fun sociable pastime with some healthy competition thrown in.

The club has four excellent coaches, three outdoor coaches during the summer season and one indoor coach during the winter season from 20^th September 2023 to early April 2024.

You are most welcome to come along on a Friday morning at 10.00 and meet Richard and Trevor, or a Wednesday evening at 18.00 and meet Steve for some free coaching lessons, weather permitting. You can have three free sessions to see how you get on before joining, just bring along a flat soled pair of shoes.

We are also offering a bowling buddy set-up if you would like to have a roll-up and develop your skills once you have joined the club, with one of the team.

You are very welcome to come along and watch any of our home games and chat to any one of us, the fixture list is on this website..

The cost for your first outdoor season is only £45 and will include free membership for your first indoor season on our own unique indoor rink.
