Last week, our Chairman Don Bridges, Ladies Captain Mary Brown and Men’s Captain Roger Keen had the pleasure of presenting BARB with a cheque for £300. 👏👏

This fantastic amount was raised during our Open Day back in May, with members and visitors helping to boost the total through raffles, tombola, donations, “Guess the Weight of the Cake” and several stalls selling all sorts of goodies.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise the day, donated items, ran the stalls, bought raffle tickets, guessed the weight of the cake and, of course, parted with their hard-earned money! 😂

This £300 also comes on top of the nearly £90 we donated earlier this year, which was raised by members hitting Tom during the second half of our indoor season. 🎯😂

That brings our fundraising for BARB to almost £390, which they were delighted to be able to support.

A big thank you to everyone at Burnham-on-Sea Bowling Club who helped make this possible.

It just goes to show that a little bit of fun, a lot of generosity and the occasional attempt at hitting Tom can raise a worthwhile amount for a great local cause! ❤️
