It has been brought to the club’s attention that the Match Availability Sheets and Selected Teams are not available online on some devices.
After an investigation the club’s website is operating normally. It would appear the problem is only with phones operating on the Android System, when trying to share the files with OneDrive which is a Microsoft App i.e. the Match Availability Sheets and Selected Teams.
All other devices such as iPhone, Mac Book, Windows Laptops, iPads etc are all operating normally.
Sorry to inform members that it is not a club or our website problem we can solve. Hopefully the problem is only temporary and will be soon resolved, how we are not sure?
Ladies Victoria League match away to Mark Moor 2nd July Cancelled due to lack of numbers.

The Spider
The afternoon was very well attended with over forty bowlers and plenty of spectators enjoying the sunshine along with some fine bowling.
The green was officially opened in the customary manner by the Club Presidents Sylvia Lupton and Richard Luscombe bowling the first woods of the season.
Followed by what is known as The Spider, with bowlers having one foot in the ditch and one on the green, each bowling one wood trying and get closest to the jack in the middle. Congratulations to Bryan Thomas who won and was presented with a litre bottle from Don Bridges.
As expected for the start of the season, the green was a little heavy. A match was played to ten ends over six rinks of triples.
Members and spectators then retired into the clubhouse for refreshments and presentation of the Indoor Section winter trophies.
The overall singles champion was Don Bridges, so congratulations to Don and to Tom Emmett who finished runner-up.
Congratulations to Alfie Dibble and Dennis Williams for picking up the pairs competition and to Paul Finch and Richard Luscombe runners-up.
Congratulations to Mary Ryder, Jim Bass and Richard Luscombe for winning the triples and to the runners-up John Hill, Bob Attwood and Tim Rhodes.
The indoor season has now finished and regarded by everyone who participated as a great success. The four leagues, single, pairs and triples competitions along with the two open umbrella evenings was very well supported. The clubhouse has now been transformed back ready for the outdoor season.
Now time is fast approaching to the opening of the green for the coming outdoor season As you know the green will be officially opened by the presidents at 3.00pm on Saturday13th April and I would like to give a very warm welcome to all existing and new members to the opening when a spider with a bottle of whisky as a prize will take place. Should you be unable to attend the opening I trust your bowling for the forthcoming season will be very enjoyable and rewarding experience..
Without mentioning names because I am sure to forget someone, I would like to give my grateful thanks and appreciation to all members who have worked hard throughout the winter and the past few weeks getting the green, gardens, surrounds, benches and fences painted, and the internal work in the outside rooms and the clubhouse really looking spick and span.
We have a very full fixture list with the usual friendlies and leagues as well as fifteen tourist teams and I would like to reiterate the captain’s request to please put your name forward for as many matches as possible.
Again this season we are holding an open/charity day on Sunday 26th May, so I am asking for your support on the day and if you know of anyone interested in “having a try” please bring them along with a pair of flat soled.
Finally on behalf of Burnham-on-Sea Bowling Club I hope you all have a very pleasurable and fulfilling summer season.

Chairman Burnham-on-Sea Club
